Note from Amy Collins Moore
"The Greensboro Junior woman's Club event is upon us and I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who is either attending or donated items or purchased raffle tix. The event is to benefit Camp Carefree and other charities of the Greensboro Junior Woman's Club.
Your support means so much! It is not too late to be involved.
Here's how:
1. Attending the Event. The 16th annual gala will be held this Saturday, April 29 at 6:30 pm at the Cardinal Country Club. Tickets are $30 and you can pay at the door, but if you are thinking you will be attending, please let me know - so I can add you to our guest list and count you in our #'s for catering...Don't worry - there will be plenty of food for all.
The event will consist of a silent auction, a live auction, a raffle (split the pot), putt for a buck and Luck of the Draw for the chance at a piece of jewelry valued at $500. Your ticket includes appetizers/desserts and 2 drinks. Again - please let me know if you plan to attend! I would love to see you there!
2. Buying raffle tickets. If you have already requested to buy a raffle ticket. I will get the ticket stub to you and I can either pick up or you can mail/leave the money in my mailbox (neighbors). The raffle is a 50/50 raffle - split the pot. So the more raffle tickets we sale - the more money you may win.
These will be sold at the event as well and the drawing will take place at 9:30 pm. Thank you so much again for everything. It is going to be an awesome night and I hope you'll consider joining us."

Gate Comments on Quail Hollow Country Club
The following excerpt was taken from the post "Gate & The City: Quail Hollow Country Club"
"We think that the Wachovia Tournament may have actual saved the GGO in a backhanded way. Why? By setting the standards higher than the local Jaycee Chapter could match in service, it forced them to confront several sticky issues and make the changes needed to survive. Without it, the GGO may have continued to wither and slowly die."

Note from Amy Collins Moore
"Just a final call to see if you are interested in supporting a fundraiser that I am co-chairing. The Greensboro Junior Woman's Club’s 2006 Gala to benefit Camp Carefree is just around the corner. The event will be held on April 29 at the Cardinal Country Club and will be a phenomenal event. The event will begin at 6:30 pm and tickets are $30 (food, two drinks included). There will be lots of great silent/live auctions items including jewelry, trips, furniture, and tons of gift certificates. Please support me by either attending the event – if you want to come, let me know…I’ll give you more details. OR You can purchase raffle tickets for $5 each or 5 for $20 for a split the pot drawing (cash prize). You don't have to be present to win.
I would love to have your support. Consider if you can help out and just let me know. Thanks so much!"

Green Coat & Old Timers Golf Challenge
"April 10, 2006
Dear Friend:
The Green Coat Club and the Greensboro Jaycee Old Timers are proud to extend an invitation for you to participate in the GREEN COAT/OLD TIMERS GOLF CHALLENGE. We encourage you to join us as a player and/or sponsor. The tournament will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Forest Oaks Country Club. In an effort to be inclusive as possible, members of the Green Coat Club, Jaycee Old Timers, Greensboro Jaycee Life Members, Greensboro Jaycee Board of Directors, the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro Executive Committee, active Jaycees and their guests are invited.
This will be an opportunity to play the new Davis Love III designed FOCC course with the people that you worked with on the tournament. The "shotgun" start will be at 1:00 pm. A social and awards party will begin immediately after the last group has finished. We have planned an event that will be exciting for golfers of all skill levels.
Individuals over fifty may play the senior tees, ladies may play the women’s tees and everyone else will play the members tees. You may enter a four-person team or we will place you on a team. The format will be Captain’s Choice with handicaps. There will be prizes for gross and net. Included are several contests such as the long drive, closest to the pins, and many more.
Goods and services you may wish to donate for door prizes will be accepted and appreciated.
Those not wishing or available to play golf can attend the Awards Party and Dinner at a price of $16.00 a person.
Spouses are welcome. The Social and Awards Dinner are inclusive in the golfers fee of $85.00 per person.
In order to finalize our plans and to accommodate all participants, we must have your prepaid entry/reservation send payment to GOLF CHALLENGE, GREENSBORO JAYCEES, 401 N. GREENE ST., GREENSBORO, NC 27401, as soon as possible.
For more information call Bill Brady at 434-1166.
We look forward to seeing you at the GREEN COAT/OLD TIMERS GOLF CHALLENGE!
Sincerely,
Bill Brady "
