I agree. That is one of the reasons the Jaycees let the event go. The Tour ask the Jaycees to do them a favor by hosting the Nike event in the first place.
Why would they ask the Jaycees to run another event if they had issues with the one they were running?
Great Golf...Great Fun...And an unnecessarily burned out golf course.
