What's on eBay? 1985 Greater Greensboro Open Season Pass
"Hello, up for auction is a Greater Greensboro Open season pass badge for the year 1985. This badge is silver in color with white bordering all the way around. All words are in red and it says the following: "GGO GREATER GREENSBORO OPEN-1985 SEASON PASS NO REFUNDS" Measures approx. 3" all around. This is a really nice badge and they no longer call this event Greater Greensboro Open, it is called something else, so in the not to distant future, this is going to be a rare collectible (to some it already is!!)."

Larry Heath
The ggoblogger took this photo of Larry Heath on May 12, 2007. Larry had just come off the golf course and was still wearing his Chrysler Classic of Greensboro golf shirt when he sat down to tell a few GGO stories. The ggoblogger has been working on a history of the GGO commemorative decanters and wanted to ask the 1975 GGO General Chairman a few questions. Larry is seen here with his gold-sprayed 1975 GGO decanter.
Larry Heath
It is with great sadness that this blog reports the passing of 1975 Greater Greensboro Open General Chairman and 2004 Green Coat Club President Larry Heath. Larry died after a courageous battle with lung and brain cancer discovered tournament week this year. No one believed in the ideals of the Jaycees and loved the tournament more than Larry and he will be sorely missed.
Details will be forwarded once arrangements are completed. Please keep Glenda and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

82nd Airborne All-American Chorus
The 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus, the official ambassadors of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division, performed during Military Day at the Wyndham Championship. The All-American Chorus closeed the inaugural Wyndham Championship with a performance on the 18th green following the presentation of the Sam Snead Cup to the Wyndham winner.
“I saw the All-American Chorus at a charity event a few months ago, and I knew right then that we had to have them at our event,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “When I saw them, I was floored; they are the perfect ending for Military Day and a fitting conclusion to the inaugural Wyndham Championship.”

What's on eBay?
ggoblogger at the SunCom Tent
The ggoblogger likes to meet the sponsors that support the Wyndham Championship each year. He likes to listen to the presentations and hear the sale pitches. He then thanks the vendors for their time and thanks them for their support for the tournament.
This year the ggoblogger was limited as to the photos he could take at the event. After photographing the tournament for 13 years the powers that be have asked him, politely, to stop bring his camera. So the blogger had to find other ways to get scenes from the event for the Greater Greensboro Open Blog.
He got this shot at the SunCom tent. This young lady was working the tent and had no problem posing with the ggoblogger for this shot. (It's a good thing the Boss Lady is not a jealous woman.) Also the blogger looks a little drunk or maybe that his Howard Coble impression. Either way it looks like Kevin von der Lippe combed his hair.

What's on eBay?
"This is a 1972 Greater Greensboro Open golf decanter by Ezra Brooks. The back says In the Spring It's the GGO Thing, 1938-1972, Greensboro, North Carolina, March 27-April 2, 1972. The stopper is in good shape with just a small piece of it missing on the underneath side where it doesn't show - fits tight into decanter. The sides of the decanter are gold-colored."
