Raymond James New Tournament Sponsor

The PGA TOUR, Piedmont Triad Charitable Foundation and Raymond James have announced that the PGA TOUR’s Greensboro tournament will be contested as part of the PGA TOUR Championship Series beginning in 2028 as part of a multi-year agreement with Raymond James to sponsor the longtime event. As one of the longest-running stops on the PGA TOUR, the Greensboro event has been a mainstay on the schedule since its inception in 1938. In a nod to its original name, GO by Raymond James will be contested at Sedgefield Country Club from Aug. 2-8, 2027, as a full-field event with broadcast coverage on CBS, Golf Channel and three properties produced by PGA TOUR Studios – PGA TOUR LIVE on the ESPN App, PGA TOUR Radio on SiriusXM and the World Feed. “The PGA TOUR’s Greensboro event has one of the richest histories in men’s professional golf, and we are proud to continue building on its longstanding legacy and local charitable impact with the support of our new partners at Raymond James,” said Dhruv Prasad, PGA TOUR Chief Commercial Officer. “Greensboro has supported the PGA TOUR for nearly nine decades, and we are excited to launch this new chapter by bringing the best players in the world to the Piedmont Triad region.”

Tony Finau to Play 2026 Wyndham

Tony Finau is a six-time PGA TOUR winner who will make his second Wyndham Championship start next week. He hasn’t won yet this season but finished tied for sixth at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and tied for 11th at the Farmers Insurance Open. He represented the United States in each of the last three Presidents Cup matches. A native and resident of Utah, he turned professional out of high school at the age of 17. Finau is 87th in FedExCup points and 130th in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Hideki Matsuyama to Play 2026 Wyndham

Hideki Matsuyama is 26th in FedExCup points and 25th in the Official World Golf Rankings. A native and resident of Japan, he became the first Japanese player to win a men’s Major championship when he won the Masters Tournament in 2021. He has 11 PGA TOUR wins and eight international wins to his credit; he has yet to win this season but was close multiple times. He lost the playoff and finished second at the WM Phoenix Open, tied for eighth at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and tied for third at last week’s 3M Open. He played on the International team at each of the last six Presidents Cup Matches. Billy Horschel to Play 2026 Wyndham

Billy Horschel, who is back on TOUR following a severe hip injury, is 102nd in FedExCup points and 164th in the Official World Golf Rankings. His best finishes this season are tied for sixth at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and tied for 13th at last week’s 3M Open. Horschel will make his 13th Wyndham Championship start next week; he finished in the top 10 in four of his last five starts here including a runner-up in 2020 and a fourth-place run in 2023.
