"Greater Greensboro Open Old Mr. Boston Liquor Decanter 1978 Royal Halburton
For sale in this auction is a 1978 Old Mr. Boston decanter, shaped like a golf shoe featuring the 1978 Greater Greensboro Open, made by Royal Halburton. It is in used condition and empty. We have wiped off the first layer of dust with a dry cloth, but otherwise have not cleaned or repaired any of these decanters. We wanted to preserve their original patina for the highest bidder. This item is being sold as-is, so please refer to the pictures for a more detailed description. After all, a picture is worth 1,000 words and we have provided several high resolution pictures to help you decide. We are not vintage liquor decanter experts."

"Maybe you can help me...I saw where you had at one time the 1973 GGO decanter...I have one of these that I am trying to sell...I am ask the question is it a statue of any particular golfer...I don't golf so I have no idea...do you? As far as I know the 1973 Greater Greensboro Open decanter is not a particular golfer, although I've always thought it looks a lot like Alice Cooper. The black paint around the eyes is pretty bad. They did a much better job painting the faces on the 1979 caddie decanter. Those were actually hand painted in Japan.
These sell a day long on ebay for $15.00. Make sure its empty. You can't sell it with the bourbon in it.
