Tito’s Stillhouse Adds Free Fan Amenities to this Year's Wyndham Championship
Tito’s Stillhouse will debut near the ninth green at the 2018 Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 14-19.
Tito’s Stillhouse aims to capture the Tito’s Handmade Vodka brand experience with the look and feel of Austin, Texas, where Tito’s was created in 1995 and is distilled today. At the Tito’s Stillhouse, Wyndham Championship patrons will have access to concessions and excellent beverages including the tournament’s signature cocktail, the “Wyndham Welcome” for purchase. Tito’s Stillhouse will be situated between the ninth green and the scoring area where all PGA TOUR golfers go following each round of official tournament play. In addition to Tito’s Stillhouse, the Tito’s Handmade Vodka Lounge will remain in its usual greenside location offering a perfect view of the play at the ninth hole.
“We want Wyndham Championship attendees to be able to engage and understand our brand story a little bit while enjoying some great golf along with concessions and delicious cocktails,” Tito’s state manager Joseph Ligon said. “Knowing not everyone has been to our distillery, the look and feel of the Stillhouse Lounge is a fun way for them to see some brand elements that define us: copper pot stills, Austin-esque decorations, tasty cocktails and opportunities to sign up to be a Tito’s Tasters and get some fun Tito’s give-a-way items.”
Among the other free Wyndham Championship fan amenities are Margaritaville at the Wyndham, the Sunbrella Comfort Zone at the 12th green, the BB&T Fan Pavilion at the ninth green, the Wyndham Beach and the Harris Teeter Kids Zone near the main entrance. The Wyndham Championship is a two-time winner of the PGA TOUR’s “Most Fan-Friendly Event” award.

The tickets were from days Wednesday, August 14, 2013 thru Sunday, August 18, 2013. Good condition but not mint. Two of the tickets have photos of Sergio Garcia. The winner of the tournament was Patrick Reed beating Jordan Spieth that year in a playoff. Reed won the Wyndham Championship on Sunday for his first title, beating Jordan Spieth with a most improbable birdie on the second hole of a playoff."

Ernie Els Will Play 2018 Wyndham Championship
Ernie Els will play the 79th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 14-19, 2018 at Sedgefield Country Club.
Els is a four-time major winner having won the U.S. Open in 1994 and ’97 and the Open Championship in 2002 and ’12. Els has 19 PGA TOUR wins and 47 international victories. He has played in eight President’s Cup matches, nine Dunhill Cup matches and five World Cup matches. A native of South Africa, Els is a member of the 2011 World Golf Hall of Fame class.
Els will make his eighth Wyndham Championship appearance including each of the last five tournaments; his best result here came in 1997 when he finished tied for seventh. He established the Els for Autism Foundation in spring 2009, with son, Ben, who is autistic, the driving force behind the mission. Six years later, he opened the first components of The Els Center of Excellence, based in Jupiter, Fla., to serve local, national and international autism communities and be a game-changing resource in the field.
Jim Furyk to Play 2018 Wyndham Championship
Ryder Cup Captain Jim Furyk will play the Wyndham Championship. The 79th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 14-19, 2018.
Furyk, who will lead the United States team at the Ryder Cup in Paris in September, has played in the Ryder Cup nine times and the Presidents Cup seven times. The 2010 FedExCup champion has 17 PGA TOUR victories to his credit including the 2003 U.S. Open. Furyk will make his 14th Wyndham Championship appearance this year. The last time he played here in 2016, he fired three rounds in the 60s and was tied for third with 18 holes to play, but on Sunday, he shot an even-par 70 and finished tied for 10th. He finished second in 1998 for his best finish here.
Furyk’s best finish of the 2018 season came at the Valspar Championship where he tied for seventh. That finish guaranteed him at least one PGA TOUR top-10 finish every year since 1994. The University of Arizona alumnus reached the FedExCup playoffs in 10 consecutive seasons before missing last year’s playoffs due to a wrist injury. In 2016, he received the Payne Stewart Award presented annually to a professional golfer who best exemplifies Stewart’s steadfast values of character, charity and sportsmanship.
2018 Wyndham Championship Youth Golf Clinic
The Youth Golf Clinic at the Wyndham is set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Grandover Resort practice range. The clinic will be conducted by The First Tee of the Triad, but PGA TOUR golfers will provide the instruction. This clinic is open to junior golfers of all ages, and participation is free of charge. Henrik Stenson Will Defend 2017 Title
Henrik Stenson, will return to the Wyndham Championship next month to defend his 2017 title. The 79th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 14-19, 2018 at Sedgefield Country Club.
Stenson joins 2018 PLAYERS Championship and 2011 Wyndham winner Webb Simpson, 2007 winner and 2012 FedExCup Champion Brandt Snedeker, 2011 FedExCup champion Bill Haas, three-time champion Davis Love III, 2016 winner Si Woo Kim and East Carolina University alumnus Harold Varner III in the Wyndham Championship field.
Although Stenson hasn’t won since last year’s Wyndham Championship, he has been close. Earlier this season, he finished tied for second at the World Golf Championships – HSBC Champions, fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, tied for fifth at the Masters and tied for sixth at the Houston Open and the U.S. Open. The six-time PGA TOUR winner also has 13 international wins to his credit. He is 43rd in the current FedExCup point standings and 17th in the Official World Golf Rankings. This year’s tournament will be his fifth Wyndham Championship appearance.
“We’re obviously ecstatic that Henrik is coming back to defend his title,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “He continues to play world class golf at the highest level. I was shocked to see how many Swedish fans came out for Henrik last year, and I hope they’ll return to cheer on our defending champion. We’ve really enjoyed getting to know Henrik this year and can’t wait to have him back!”

Put Away Those Mason Jars-Margaritaville at the Wyndham is Back
Margaritaville at the Wyndham will feature live music every day, upscale food & beverages including the Wyndham Championship’s signature cocktail, the Wyndham Welcome, along with other refreshments including Margaritas and a full menu of non-alcoholic options. Fans can listen to Jimmy Buffett’s island-inspired music on Radio Margaritaville when live music is not being performed. Margaritaville at the Wyndham debuted at the Wyndham Championship in 2013 and remained the centerpiece of the tournament’s fan experience through 2016. Last year, the space was called the Front Porch at the Wyndham as part of the tournament’s southern hospitality theme. Sirius XM station Radio Margaritaville will broadcast live from Margaritaville at the Wyndham on Saturday and Sunday of tournament week.
“Having Margaritaville at the Wyndham back after a one-year layoff is huge,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “They’re part of the fabric of this tournament, and it’s a great spot to hang out. It’s also really cool that Margaritaville has such a strong relationship with Wyndham Destinations so that’s a great tie-in for us.”
Also returning this year is another fan favorite, the sand sculpture, on which artists create an ever-evolving sculpture throughout tournament week. Fans watch in amazement as the sand artists create an amazing sculpture from a truckload of sand. Tropical plants and palms will return to the tournament’s main entrance and throughout the Sedgefield grounds invoking a visit to a tropical paradise all while attending a PGA TOUR event.

Harris Teeter Upgrading 20 Tickets a Day
Fans attending the 2018 Wyndham Championship will have an opportunity to upgrade a grounds ticket to a hospitality ticket when they spin the Harris Teeter wheel on “Expo Row;” Harris Teeter is also sponsoring the Wyndham Championship kids program and volunteers. The 79th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 14-19, 2018 at Sedgefield Country Club.
The Harris Teeter wheel will award 20 tickets per day, Thursday through Sunday, to the Harris Teeter charity box at the 17th hole; this hospitality venue will provide food and beverages as well as air conditioning. In addition, fans can win tickets to the Legends Club presented by Matthews Mobile Media and other cool prizes when they spin the wheel.
Harris Teeter is also sponsoring the tournament’s kids program by providing not only free admission but also free lunch to kids ages 15 and under Thursday through Sunday; kids will receive a voucher at the main entrance which can be redeemed for lunch at tournament concessions areas. In addition, the first 500 kids that arrive at the Wyndham Championship Thursday through Sunday will receive a free t-shirt. The Harris Teeter Kids Zone near the main entrance features a climbing wall, face painting, a putting area and golf lessons courtesy of The First Tee of the Triad.
Harris Teeter is now an official volunteer sponsor. The Harris Teeter logo will be prominently displayed on volunteer clothing and at the Marty Sheets Volunteer Pavilion across the street from the practice putting green.

Wyndham Championship Introduces University Row Featuring Four N.C. Universities
This year, the Wyndham Championship introduces University Row, a hospitality venue featuring four North Carolina universities. The 79th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 14-19, 2018 at Sedgefield Country Club.
Appalachian State University, High Point University, North Carolina A&T State University and the University of North Carolina – Greensboro will occupy University Row in its inaugural year. Each school will host its guests in a private viewing platform located at the player’s right of the 10th green. Guests of the four schools will enjoy a joint hospitality area featuring food and beverage, upscale restrooms and access to the air-conditioned Legends Club presented by Matthews Mobile Media on the opposite side of the 10th green. Each of the four schools will control its own access to University Row.
“We’ve always wanted to engage some of the local universities to attract their alumni,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “We approached their athletic and alumni departments to see if they had any interest in participating in a unique program to entertain alumni and donors. It’ll be an all-inclusive experience that should be a lot of fun. I think it’ll be a great opportunity for executives, alumni and donors from each school to mix and mingle while they all learn a little more about the Wyndham Championship.”

Cadillac Named Wyndham Championship's Official Vehicle
Cadillac returns to the Wyndham Championship in 2018 as its official vehicle. The 79th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 14-19, 2018 at Sedgefield Country Club.
Cadillac will provide PGA TOUR player courtesy cars as well as vehicles for tournament operations and tournament officials during next month’s Wyndham Championship PGA TOUR event. Cadillac will be the tournament’s official vehicle for the seventh-consecutive year; the luxury brand from General Motors returned to the Wyndham in 2012 following a brief hiatus as the tournament’s official car. The luxury car brand will also have vehicles on display and a hospitality venue at the 10th green during the tournament.
