Two-For-One Wyndham Tickets Available at Harris Teeter Locations
Wyndham Championship fans can now purchase two tickets for the price of one at Harris Teeter locations.
Now through the end of the Wyndham Championship, fans can purchase two Wyndham Championship tickets for the price of one at Harris Teeter locations. A Harris Teeter VIC card is required to get the two-for-one deal. The $50 tickets available at Harris Teeter are good for tournament admission on any day of tournament week. As always, children ages 15 and under are admitted free with a paying adult so a family of four with two children ages 15 or younger can attend the Wyndham Championship for just $50 per day.

Hideki Matsuyama Joins Wyndham Field
Hideki Matsuyama will play the 77th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 15-21, 2016 at Sedgefield Country Club.
Matsuyama will make his fourth-consecutive Wyndham Championship appearance this year; he missed the cut last year but finished 15th in 2013. Matsuyama won the Waste Management Phoenix Open, finished tied for seventh at the Masters and the Players Championship, finished fifth at the CIMB Classic and tied for sixth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard earlier this season. He has two PGA TOUR wins and five international wins to his credit. A native and resident of Japan, Matsuyama is 19th in the Official Golf World Rankings and 20th in the current FedExCup point standings.
“Hideki is an international superstar,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “It’s a big deal that he’s back with us for the fourth straight year.”

Rafael Cabrera Bello and Jon Rahm join 2016 Wyndham Championship Field
Rafael Cabrera Bello and Jon Rahm, two of the biggest stars in Spanish golf, have accepted sponsor’s exemptions and will play the 2016 Wyndham Championship. The 77th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 15-21, 2016 at Sedgefield Country Club.
After representing Spain in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Cabrera Bello will fly to North Carolina to make his second Wyndham Championship appearance. A fulltime member of the European Tour, Cabrera Bello is fourth in the current European Tour Race to Dubai point standings trailing only Masters champion Danny Willett, Open Championship winner Henrik Stenson and world No. 4 Rory McIlroy; he is currently 27th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Cabrera Bello still seeks his first PGA TOUR win, but he finished third at the World Golf Championships Dell Match Play, fourth at the Shell Houston Open and has two runner-up finishes in European Tour play this season. Cabrera Bello represented Europe in the 1999 Junior Ryder Cup matches when the United States captain was Wyndham Championship tournament director Mark Brazil.

Cadillac Returns as Wyndham Championship Official Vehicle
Cadillac returns as the official vehicle for the 2016 Wyndham Championship set for Aug. 15-21, 2016 at Sedgefield Country Club.
Cadillac will provide PGA TOUR player courtesy cars as well as vehicles for tournament operations and tournament officials during the upcoming 77th annual Wyndham Championship PGA TOUR event. Cadillac will be the tournament’s official vehicle for the fifth-consecutive year; the luxury brand from General Motors returned to the Wyndham in 2012 following a brief hiatus as the tournament’s official car. The premium car brand will also have vehicles on display at Sedgefield Country Club during the tournament as well as a hospitality venue at the 10th green.
“We are proud that Cadillac has chosen to continue its partnership with the Wyndham Championship,” tournament director Mark Brazil said.

Webb Simpson and Bill Haas to play 2016 Wyndham Championship
Wake Forest University alumni Webb Simpson and Bill Haas as well as Wake Forest men’s golf coach Jerry Haas will play the 2016 Wyndham Championship set for Aug. 15-21, 2016 at Sedgefield Country Club.
Simpson won his first-career PGA TOUR victory at the Wyndham Championship in 2011.
Haas finished tied for sixth at last year’s Wyndham Championship and tied for second the year before.
Haas’ uncle, Jerry, the Wake Forest University men’s golf coach, will play the Wyndham this year as the 2015 Carolinas PGA Section player of the year. It will be his fifth appearance in the tournament.

Brandt Snedeker will play 2016 Wyndham Championship
2007 Wyndham winner Brandt Snedeker and Justin Thomas, will play the 2016 Wyndham Championship, the tournament announced today. The 77th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 15-21, 2016 at Sedgefield Country Club.
Snedeker, who won the Wyndham Championship in 2007 and was later named that year’s PGA TOUR rookie of the year, is having another strong season after winning the Farmers Insurance Open and recording both a runner-up and a third-place finish in five top-10 finishes this year; he finished tied for 10th at the Masters. He led the FedExCup point standings earlier this year, but a rib injury hampered his play. The 2012 FedExCup champion has eight PGA TOUR wins and 11 overall. He is currently seventh in the FedExCup point standings and 23rd in the Official World Golf Rankings. Snedeker will be making his 10th-consecutive Wyndham Championship appearance; in addition to his 2007 win, he recorded top-eight finishes here in 2009, ’10 and ‘14.
Justin Thomas, 23, won his first PGA TOUR event earlier this season when he captured the CIMB Classic; in addition, he finished tied for third at the Frys.com Open, the Honda Classic and the Players Championship earlier this year. Thomas is no stranger to Sedgefield Country Club; he won the 2009 AJGA Haas Family Invitational and claimed an exemption into the Wyndham as the HFI champion. The University of Alabama alumnus was just 16 years old when he made his PGA TOUR debut that year; he fired an opening 65 followed by a two-over-par 72 to become the third- youngest player to make the 36-hole cut in PGA TOUR history. However, he did not make the cut after the third round and officially finished tied for 78th. This year’s tournament will mark his third Wyndham Championship appearance. Thomas is 10th in the current FedExCup point standings and 39th in the Official World Golf Rankings.

2016 Wyndham Championship Midtown Mashup
Midtown Mashup, the innovative combination of PGA TOUR golf and some of the Triad’s most popular food and beverage options, will debut next month at the Wyndham Championship.
A Mashup is defined as a creative combination or mixing of content from two or more different sources. Midtown Mashup at the Wyndham Championship will feature world-class PGA TOUR golf and a mixture of food and beverage options possibly never before experienced at a PGA TOUR event. As golfers approach the 10th green at Sedgefield, they’ll see the Midtown Mashup tent and believe it’s merely a standard hospitality venue – its components will be anything but standard.
“What we want to do at the Wyndham Championship is bring a cosmopolitan, international flare,” Marshall Free House executive chef Jay Pierce said. “We want people to be at the Wyndham and not know if they’re in upstate New York or Chicago or Palm Springs. The Wyndham Championship brings world-class golf; we want to compliment that with this classy, traveled experience – Midtown Mashup is answering the bell.”
Midtown Mashup will feature dining options from multiple Midtown restaurants. Food Trucks representing Darryl’s Woodfired Grill and Midtown’s Marshall Free House as well as the Burger Warfare Military food truck will be part of the Midtown Mashup food offerings. Pig Pounder, a line of locally-produced beers, will be featured through the “Squeals on Wheels” Beer Truck featuring several variations of the rapidly-growing brand. A BARgarden – a beer garden also featuring frozen cocktails and other concoctions – will be among the collaborative offerings.
Midtown Mashup will offer seated dining allowing people to enjoy an outdoor, restaurant-quality experience while attending a professional sports event. Fun, interactive games will provide activities when golf fans want a break from following tournament play; a schedule of activities will be available within Midtown Mashup, which will also be considered a “cell phone zone” meaning calls may be made and answered on mobile devices in silent mode. The entire area is open the general public.
“Midtown Mashup features things that shouldn’t coexist but are better when they do,” Pierce said. “Food trucks at a golf tournament bring energy – the idea that anything goes. People who may not necessarily be hard core golf fans can go to Midtown Mashup and enjoy the event. Sedgefield Country Club is currently seeking service staff, bartenders, cooks and Food runners for the 2016 Wyndham Championship Tournament during the week of Wednesday, August 17 – Sunday, August 21st.
A strong work ethic and positive attitude is a must.
Individuals considered for these positions will be expected to excel in fast-paced, high-volume environments and must positively contribute to the polished country club/tournament atmosphere.
Servers and bartenders must have AT LEAST one year of experience. Dependability, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a vibrant personality are expected.
