Henrik Stenson Joins Wyndham Championship Field

Henrik Stenson, the No. 8 golfer in the world who played on the European Ryder Cup team last fall, will play the 78th annual Wyndham Championship. Currently ranked No. 8 in the Official World Golf Rankings and No. 84 in the FedExCup point standings, Stenson won the 2013 FedExCup championship. A native of Gothenburg, Sweden, Stenson has five PGA TOUR wins, including the 2013 TOUR Championship and the 2016 Open Championship, to his credit in addition to 13 international victories. He has not won this season but finished tied for second at the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions and tied for seventh at the Valspar Championship for his best finishes of the season. He will make his fourth Wyndham Championship appearance next week – his first since 2012.
