"To all former Members,
This is a follow-up statement to our previous messages to you. As stated earlier, it was never our intention to “auction” off items in the archive collection. In fact, we are trying to prepare for our 75 th anniversary coming up in 2011, and our Board of Directors is interested in preparing the Archive Room in order to display our history for our young Chapter. In order to accomplish this task, we have a lot of items to arrange and display. Items of non-historical value and duplicate items may be available in the future after the archive displays have been established. I am writing to ask for your help in helping us to showcase our history in a way that future Greensboro Jaycee members may appreciate. Kevin von der Lippe and Alexis Asher will be leading us in this endeavor. Please contact me with further questions or if you are interested in helping us to accomplish this task.
Sincerely,
Lisa Powell"

Note from 2010 Greensboro Jaycee President Lisa Powell
"Everyone,
The 2010 Jaycee Board of Directors never had any intention of selling the historical collections for the Greensboro Jaycees. We are looking to auction off items for which we have mutliple copies or items that have little or no historical value. We are going to postpone the auction and work closely with Kevin Von de Lippe and Randy Harris who are going to advise us about which items have historical value to the Greensboro Jaycees' history. I apologize for the miscommunication.
Thank you.
