1960 GGO Medal Won by Sam Snead
1960 Greater Greensboro Open Medal Won by Sam Snead. Snead won the inaugural event. Twenty-two years later he would claim this medal for his seventh of what would prove to be eight career victories, his last in 1965 setting a still-standing record for the oldest man to win a PGA Tour event.
Victor's medal features the logo of the PGA at obverse and is engraved with the details of the win: "Greensboro Open Invitational, 1960 Scores 68-66-67-69- 270." Verso is stamped "14K" and engraved, "Winner, Greensboro Open, Sam Snead." Measures one and a half inches in diameter.
