Wyndham Championship Introduces Interactive Course Map

In an effort to enhance the spectator experience, the Wyndham Championship has created a new interactive course map available at Wyndham Championship.com. The Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 17-23, 2015 at Sedgefield Country Club. The new interactive map features sections focusing on general information, attractions, public viewing areas and concessions as well as private viewing areas for tournament sponsors. Sections feature multiple entries; clicking on each will show its location on the map as well as pictures and descriptions. The map is designed to function on a computer as well as a mobile device so during tournament week. “The hard-core golf fan knows where the best places to watch the Wyndham Championship are, but the casual fan who may be at the tournament to engage in the non-golf experience might need direction,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “With our new interactive map, finding attractions and their locations has never been easier.” “We have worked hard to make our fan amenities attractive to the masses,” Brazil said. “We have something for everyone, and in the next 10 weeks, we’ll show our fans some places they’ve always liked, a location where they can make a difference and maybe some new places. Each can be its own Escape to the Wyndham.” - See more at: http://www.wyndhamchampionship.com/interactive-course-map/#sthash.2PjQfU6F.dpuf

Dann Lee Burkart

Dann Lee Burkart, 60, of Greensboro, recently passed away at his home. A celebration of Dann’s life will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at First Lutheran Church at 3600 West Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC. The service will be performed by a man he loved dearly, Pastor Jay Hilbinger. A visitation will follow in the church Fellowship Hall. Dann was born to the late Eugene F. and Marilyn S. Burkart on May 12, 1955. In addition to his parents, Dann was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Burkart Livingston. He is survived by his brother Gary “Buck” and wife Susan Lindsay Burkart; two nieces, Lindsay Erin and Olivia Taylor Burkart; cousins and a long list of loving friends. Dann graduated from Grimsley High School 1974 and worked for the Guilford County Courthouse where he retired in 2009, after 30 years of service. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, as he pointed out, for 60 years. A long-standing member of the Greensboro Jaycees and Old Timers, he was known to give a prayer and lovingly called Rev. Dann Burkart. He was the recipient of many awards from both employer and organization. Dann made a difference in the lives of family and many friends. One might have a surprise card, flowers or a phone call to uplift and share his kindness and love. He always had a big smile on his face, a hug or a handshake, possibly a joke to tell or a prayer to share. Dann particularly loved sports of all kinds, especially his beloved Duke Blue Devils. He spent many years on the golf course with his mom when she was alive. He was dedicated to his church and his friends. The family wishes to thank all the friends that reached out to Dann throughout the years. All will truly miss him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association, American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or First Lutheran Church, 3600 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410.
