Wyndham Championship named “Most Fan-Friendly Event”

The Wyndham Championship earned an award for “Most Fan-Friendly Event” during the 2015 tournament at Sedgefield Country Club. One year ago, the tournament was recognized for “Best Title Sponsor Integration” and “Best Social Media.” In 2012 and ’13, the Wyndham won “Best Advertising Campaign.” “On behalf of the PGA TOUR, I am pleased to congratulate the Wyndham Championship for being named the best among its peers on TOUR,” said PGA TOUR EVP and Chief of Operations Andy Pazder. “The tournament committee worked tirelessly with its title sponsor on new and innovative ways on improving the tournament experience and this award is a testament to that.” From affordable ticket packages to informational brochures to on-course experiences, the Wyndham Championship put a special emphasis on their fans throughout the year. Under the theme “Escape to the Wyndham,” the tournament offered fans holding grounds tickets access to covered grandstands, concessions and special attractions like the Sunbrella Carolina Craft Beer Lawn, Tito’s Vodka Lounge, Margaritaville at the Wyndham, BB&T Fan Pavilion and the Sunbrella Comfort Zone. As a hospitality enterprise, the title sponsor treated fans to vacation-themed experiences at the tournament, like the Key to Wyn Expo, Wyndham Beach and Passport to the Wyndham, where fans could check-in at various Wyndham destinations around the course in their Passport to earn tournament upgrades. The increased focus on the fan experience resulted in record attendance numbers. “On behalf of Wyndham Worldwide and our local team, we are honored to be recognized by the PGA TOUR and other tournaments with this award,” Wyndham Championship Tournament Director Mark Brazil said. “We are very fortunate to have Wyndham as our title sponsor and our partner, and this award, coupled with those we have won in the past, is evidence that Wyndham Worldwide is fully committed to making the Wyndham Championship one of the best events on the PGA TOUR.”

A complete listing of all signatures will be sent with the flag.COA will be included! All of my autographs are obtained in person and I guarantee them to be 100% authentic."

What's on eBay? 1953 GGO Press Pass

"I recently obtained a fairly large group of memorabilia belonging to long-time sportswriter John Derr, who covered the pro golf scene for nearly 65 years, and who also covered other professional sports, especially horse-racing and baseball....Derr was on the staff of CBS News for a significant portion of that time....almost all of the material was glued into scrapbooks, so the majority of it has a bit of brown paper on the back. This lot is a press pass for the 1953 Greater Greensboro Open Golf Tournament.....has a thin wearing string at the top...Derr's name is written on the front...back has a Schlitz advertisement...some scrapbook damage on the back, but not excessive..also shows creasing...pass no. 7; I'm guessing there aren't a lot of these around today!"
