"Officials with the Wyndham Championship are close to completing a deal that would end the PGA Tour event's 30-year run at Forest Oaks Country Club and likely return it to Sedgefield Country Club for this year's event.
Sources familiar with the negotiations said an agreement between the Piedmont Triad Charitable Foundation, the nonprofit group that runs the Wyndham, and the Nisshin Corp., which owns Forest Oaks, is expected to be announced in February."

(The ggoblogger does enjoy Robert Bell's work, but this blogger did find a couple of minor errors in this latest article. As fellow blogger, Patrick Eakes, pointed out to the ggoblogger the other day-the tournament has had a 31 year run at Forest Oaks Country Club (1977-2007). Also, the Greensboro Jaycees signed the deal with FOCC in 2002, not is 2003, as the article stated. As many of you will recall, the Davis Love III redesign was well under way by the time 2003 rolled around.)
