Wheaties 1952 Sam Snead Portrait Card with Rare Blue Border

"If consistency over time is a trait of greatness, Sam Snead was great. Snead was a rookie on Tour in 1936, and by 1938 he had climbed to the top of golf. He was still going strong in 1965 when he won the Greater Greensboro Open at the age of 52 years, 10 months. That's the oldest anyone won a PGA tournament. All told it added up to 82 career victories including 7 majors. In 1950 alone, "the Slammer" had won 11 times. Perfect numbers for inclusion into the 1952 Wheaties set. His portrait card offered here contains the rare blue border, free from creases. An example that rises above consistent to a level approaching perfection and a mint status."
