1975 GGO Buddy Allin's Caddie

Allin's first win on the PGA Tour came in 1971 at the Greater Greensboro Open when he defeated Dave Eichelberger and Rod Funseth on the first extra-hole in a playoff.

"This is a Official PGA Golf 2017 White Wyndham Golf Championship Pin Flag signed by 40 Golfers from that field from the 2017 Wyndham Golf Tournament. John Gregory Rumpf

Greg Rumpf, 61, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2017. Greg was born in St Louis, MO on November 29, 1956. There will be visitation on Wednesday evening December 6, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:30 PM at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home at 1118 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. The funeral mass will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at St Paul the Apostle Church at 2715 Horse Pen Creek Road, Greensboro, NC 27410. Greg was the son of John and Audrey Rumpf. Both of his parents preceded him in death. Greg is married to Michelle Dominguez and an adopted daughter, Lady, of Greensboro. He is also survived by his sister Sharon of St Louis, MO Greg received his degree from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) in May 1979. He was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity and continued his participation in the Fraternity throughout his life. He served on their national Board of Directors, the Educational Foundation, United Link Corporation, as well as recently serving as a Chapter adviser for the Chapter at University of North Carolina Charlotte. Greg was recently recognized by the Fraternity with the highest award as he was inducted into the Society of Seventeen. Greg had been an active member of the Greensboro Jaycees. He worked on several committees in the Jaycees as they served the Greensboro community. He was active in the organization for several years when they operated the Greater Greensboro Open (now the Wyndham Tournament). Greg loved opportunities to serve the community. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be the Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation Webb Academy Fund, 101 Ming Street, PO Box 54, Warrensburg, Missouri 64093.
