Stephen Curry at the Wyndham Championship

Stephen Curry of the NBA Golden State Warriors was amoung the amateur golfers playing in the 2011 Kevin Harvick Foundation Pro-Am presented by Technology Concepts & Design, Inc at the 72nd annual Wyndham Championship.

Stephen Curry played three seasons for the Davidson Wildcats and led the nation in scoring with 28.6 points per game in the 2008-09 NCAA men’s basketball season. He entered the NBA draft following his junior year and was selected by the Golden State Warriors as the seventh overall pick. Last season, Curry averaged 18.6 points and 3.90 rebounds per game. He is an alumnus of Charlotte Christian School.

"1997 PGA Tour Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic Golf Smart Card with integrated IC Chip. It is a smart card issued for the 1997 Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic (GGCC) tour stop. It features a Chrysler from the tournament sponsor with the GGCC logo. This tournament was won by Frank Nobilo. This is a great piece of golf memorabilia and would make a great additon to any collection. There were four different smart cards issued for the tournament that year. This is a must for the golf card collector. Interesting fact: Smart Card are characterized by the integrated or embedded circuits and are sometimes called ICCs or Integrated Circuit Cards."

Padraig Harrington will play Wyndham Championship

Irishman Padraig Harrington will play the 2011 Wyndham Championship. Harrington was among the last players to finish Friday evening and committed to the field after his round.

He won the British Open in 2007 and 2008 as well as the PGA Championship in 2008. He has five PGA TOUR wins and 16 international wins to his credit. He has represented Europe in Ryder Cup competition six times, played in the World Cup matches 11 times and played in the Dunhill Cup matches six times. He is currently 69th in the official world golf rankings and 130th in the FedExCup point standings. This year’s tournament will be his first appearance in the Wyndham Championship.
