News & Record Reports "PGA Points Race Likely Good for Greensboro" (Chrysler Classic of Greensboro)

"The Chrysler Classic of Greensboro's tournament director said his event "dodged a big bullet" Wednesday when the PGA Tour announced details of next year's inaugural FedEx Cup competition.

Mark Brazil said the tour's points race likely will strengthen Greensboro's field of golfers when the tournament moves from October this year to August in 2007. Tour officials' decision to weigh most of the tournaments equally when distributing points gives added clout to Greensboro's stop."After the majors and the (World Golf Championships), we've got just as much worth as the rest of the tournaments," Brazil said. "I think we're going to see a big improvement in our strength of field.""
