I recently ran across this article that first appeared in The Greensboro Record on Wednesday, March 11, 1964. It details the Greater Greensboro Open's plans for the upcoming "Stag Night". Not only does the article promote the event, but goes on to say that Gary Player spoke at the Stag Night the year before.
The event started at 6:30 p.m. and the "fun hour" began at 9:00p.m.. Tickets were limited to the first "400" and were sold at the Sedgefield Country Club and other local golf shops.
