"A spelling error was made and because of that you thought it appropriate to slam it.I personally enter the information on the site, and I made a mistake, and I have no problem fixing it nor any problem taking responsibility for it (by the way it has already been corrected, thank you for bringing it to my attention).
Next time, could you be courteous enough to send a message to webmaster@jaycee.org rather than the avenue you chose. Myself along with many others go to your blog to see what archived documents or pictures you have posted about the GGO because it is entertaining and brings back some fond memories…..Not to be mocked. Please have respect for the organization that I assume means a great deal to you and offer support not harm.
Thank you,
Jessica Pearson "
Jessica, I would first like to thank you and the "many others" that read my blog. I am glad you find it entertaining and that it has brought back some good memories for you.
As far as "slamming" an error made on the Jaycee website, I'd like to point out that this blog often reports on headlines, omissions and mistakes made by the local media with regards to how the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro is covered. I saw the error on your website as more of the same. (I don't inform other editors of their mistakes either.)
I know errors happen. I can remember one email sent out by a Jaycee in which the author misspelled his own name. I am sure this blog contains hundreds of misspelled words and just poor grammar, but as I pointed out in my first "slam" no one is paying me millions of dollars.
On a side note, I was the 1997 Communications Director that worked with Dan to bring www.jaycee.org on line. So I guess I just expect more. Keep up the good work Jessica and thanks for reading the Greater Greensboro Open Blog.
