"I came across your blog site while searching for golf balls with the GGO logo. I grew up in Siler City and only began golfing seven years ago. I collect logo balls of courses that I’ve play, tournaments that I’ve attended, and just a few special balls. I have a one from the Greater Greensboro Classic with the Chrysler emblem, but I was seeking one from before Kmart or Chrysler. Did they make any?
I have a watch – "Greater Greensboro Open – Green Coat Club 1951". Is there a museum in Greensboro to which I could donate this?
Thanks,
David Brigham"
David,
Thanks for reading my blog. To answer your first question-Yes there are many golf balls with the GGO logo on them.I would check out eBay. I have seen them on there for only a couple of dollars. (The postage will cost you more than the ball.)
As far as donating the watch, I do know that the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro is going to have a "history tent" this year. The tent will be full of many fun tournament related items.
If you'd like to donate that watch you can send it to:
Greensboro Jaycees

Thanks for reading the Greater Greensboro Open Blog.
