High Point Jaycees Get Recognition!

DURHAM, NC -- The High Point Jaycees were recently recognized at the 2007 Awards Weekend Convention of the North Carolina Jaycees. This is the first time High Point has been recognized in many years and a wonderful change for the chapter. The first recognition came when they were announced as being one of the few chapters at year-to-date growth at +1.

Of 11 chapters in the North Area they are 1 of 3 chapters able to claim growth for the year in the first 4 months of the year. Their second recogintion came when their project "Operation: Relaunch" was awarded Outstanding Strategic Planning project of the First Trimester First Place.

High Point Jaycee member, Gene Shanks was then announced as being one of the top Program Managers in the state for the work he's been doing in the North Area (especially for High Point and Asheboro). Shanks was also given a "Team Player" award as well.

Congratulations to the entire chapter for working so hard to make the High Point chapter one of the best in the state. If you would like to join the High Point Jaycees, we have our meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at Carter's Brother BBQ off Samet Drive in High Point. "
