4-11-1972 Golf World GEORGE ARCHER Wins GREENSBORO OPEN
Here is the April 11, 1972 Golf World with a great cover photo of George Archer, pictured with Tour official Tom Place. Mr. Archer had just defeated fellow Masters champion Tommy Aaron in a play-off to win the Greensboro open and this issue has a fine account of the event.
The 31-page magazine also has coverage of the International 4-Ball (won by the team of Joe Inman and Mark Hayes), the Miami Invitational (where Gary Koch won individual honors in leading his Florida Gators to the team title) and much more. This copy shows some signs of general age wear but is quite an attractive example of this 35-year old periodical. Insurance is available upon request.
