Greensboro, NC: Virginia (Vere) Schenck Lineberry daughter of Ginni Schenck Lineberry and Albert S. Lineberry, Jr. died Sunday at her home of natural causes, the result complications of multifocal avascular necrosis, a debilitating bone disease.
Her funeral will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church and burial will be private prior to the service at Westminster Gardens.
She was a native of Greensboro and a graduate of the Greensboro Days School and Belmont Abby College in Business Administration. Until her AVN she was the owner and operator of Lineberry Marketing Resources in Charlotte. Her compassionate concern for others especially with her disease was known world wide for her tenacious zest for life and a cure for the disease.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister Helen Lineberry Houser and her husband Edward Earl (Trey) Houser, III their two daughter Hannah and Abby Houser; grandparents Helen Howerton and Albert S. Lineberry all of Greensboro, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will visit with friends following the service in the Virginia Gilmer Room at the Church. Memorials may be in her memory to the Memorial Fund, First Presbyterian Church, and 611 N. Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27401.
