Justin Leonard and Aaron Baddeley have joined the Wyndham Championship field.
Leonard and Baddeley join a Wyndham Championship field that includes world No. 14 Anthony Kim, 2008 Masters winner Trevor Immelman, 1992 Masters winner Fred Couples, 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover, two-time Wyndham winners Davis Love III and Rocco Mediate, John Daly, David Duval, David Toms, Mike Weir, Boo Weekly, Chris DiMarco and the last three Wyndham Championship winners, Ryan Moore, Carl Pettersson and Brandt Snedeker.
Leonard is 114th in the current FedExCup point standings making the Wyndham Championship an important opportunity to earn FedExCup points. After the Wyndham Championship, the last regular-season PGA TOUR event, only the top-125 advance into the FedExCup playoffs. Leonard enjoyed his best PGA TOUR season in 2008 when he finished eighth in the final FedExCup point standings. The 12-time PGA TOUR winner has made two previous appearances here with his last coming in 2000.
Australian Aaron Baddeley has joined the field; he is currently 87th in FedExCup points. The 29-year-old Australian has two PGA TOUR wins and four international victories. His finished tied for third at the Valero Texas Open for his best result of the 2010 season. Baddeley is making his fourth Wyndham Championship appearance.
Appleby won the inaugural Greenbrier Classic Aug. 3 and is currently 26th in FedExCup points. This weekend’s PGA Championship marks the 14th consecutive week that Appleby has played a PGA TOUR event; he withdrew from the Wyndham Championship to rest before starting the FedExCup playoffs.
