Justin Leonard and Aaron Baddeley have joined the Wyndham Championship field.
Leonard and Baddeley join a Wyndham Championship field that includes world No. 14 Anthony Kim, 2008 Masters winner Trevor Immelman, 1992 Masters winner Fred Couples, 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover, two-time Wyndham winners Davis Love III and Rocco Mediate, John Daly, David Duval, David Toms, Mike Weir, Boo Weekly, Chris DiMarco and the last three Wyndham Championship winners, Ryan Moore, Carl Pettersson and Brandt Snedeker.
Leonard is 114th in the current FedExCup point standings making the Wyndham Championship an important opportunity to earn FedExCup points. After the Wyndham Championship, the last regular-season PGA TOUR event, only the top-125 advance into the FedExCup playoffs. Leonard enjoyed his best PGA TOUR season in 2008 when he finished eighth in the final FedExCup point standings. The 12-time PGA TOUR winner has made two previous appearances here with his last coming in 2000.
Australian Aaron Baddeley has joined the field; he is currently 87th in FedExCup points. The 29-year-old Australian has two PGA TOUR wins and four international victories. His finished tied for third at the Valero Texas Open for his best result of the 2010 season. Baddeley is making his fourth Wyndham Championship appearance.
Appleby won the inaugural Greenbrier Classic Aug. 3 and is currently 26th in FedExCup points. This weekend’s PGA Championship marks the 14th consecutive week that Appleby has played a PGA TOUR event; he withdrew from the Wyndham Championship to rest before starting the FedExCup playoffs.

University of North Carolina Men’s Basketball Coach Roy Williams will play in Monday’s Kevin Harvick Foundation Pro-Am presented by Technology Concepts & Design, it was announced today. The 71st annual Wyndham Championship begins Monday at Sedgefield Country Club.
Williams is a two-time NCAA National Championship coach having won the title in 2005 and ’09. The Asheville, N.C. native has played in Wyndham Championship-related pro-ams on multiple occasions, and he is always a crowd favorite.
Williams joins a Kevin Harvick Foundation Pro-Am field that includes four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers. Harvick, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points leader, Elliott Sadler, Scott Speed and Hermie Sadler will all play in Monday’s Kevin Harvick Foundation pro-am. The drivers will all arrive at the Sedgefield Country Club practice range at 10:30 a.m.
Williams and the four NASCAR drivers will each be paired with a PGA TOUR golfer and three amateur players. Monday tee times are not yet confirmed, but Williams and the four NASCAR drivers will tee off around 11 a.m.

Wishes by Wyndham
Wishes by Wyndham is working to support children around the world through in-kind donations, volunteer hours and by raising both funds and awareness. The program is working to better the lives of children by creating partnerships with likeminded organizations including: Starlight Children’s Foundation, Christel House International and the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps.

Wyndham Championship Player Spotlight
Lucas Glover – Glover will be making his seventh appearance in Greensboro. He had made all previous six cuts. His best finish was T6 in 2006. He finished T20 in 2007 and 2008 and T24 in 2009.
Ricky Barnes – Ricky Barnes will be making his third start in Greensboro, missing the cut in 2003 and 2009. Barnes is having a solid year with 18 of 21 made cuts to go with nine top 25s and six top 10s.
Fred Couples – Fred Couples will return to Greensboro a year after finishing T5. Last year was Couples’ first start at the Wyndham Championship since 1993.
David Duval – David Duval is making his fourth appearance at the Wyndham Championship. He missed the cut last year and in 2008 and finished T14 in 1995.2.

Ryan Moore – Last year, Ryan Moore made birdie on the third playoff hole (par-4 No. 18) to defeat Kevin Stadler and claim his first TOUR win. It was Moore’s fifth start in Greensboro. Moore played in the Wyndham Championship as an amateur in 2004 and finished T24.
Carl Pettersson – In 2008, former North Carolina State golfer and North Carolina resident Carl Pettersson topped Scott McCarron by two strokes to win in Greensboro. Pettersson moved from Sweden to Greensboro during high school and graduated from Grimsley High, located seven miles from Sedgefield Country Club, site of the tournament. Pettersson won picked up his fourth TOUR victory at the RBC Canadian Open in July.
Brandt Snedeker – In 2007, Brandt Snedeker picked up his first TOUR win at the Wyndham Championship. Snedeker has three top 10s this season in 20 starts through the RBC Canadian Open. Last year, Snedeker finished T5 in his third start at the Wyndham Championship.
Kevin Stadler – Kevin Stadler was 2 months and 1 day old (born February 5, 1980) when his father Craig Stadler won the 1980 Greater Greensboro Open on April 6, 1980. Stadler lost to Ryan Moore on the third playoff hole last year at the Wyndham Championship.
Mike Weir – Mike Weir will make his third appearance in Greensboro and first since missing the cut in 2006. Weir missed the cut in his first appearance at the Wyndham Championship in 1998 and finished T25 in 2009. The 2003 Masters champion is No. 126 in the FedExCup standings.
