"One of my fondest memories in the Jaycees was Christmas Caroling at Mr. Bains home. He invited us in and absolutely enjoyed telling and showing us memories he had of the tournament...one being a hat the Sam Snead had given him.

(The ggoblogger was also lucky enough to go caroling at Carson Bain's home with a group of Greensboro Jaycees. He told us stories as well and as a close friend of Sam Snead, he did indeed have one of Sam's hats. The ggoblogger even took a photo of Bart Revels wearing it.)
