1940 Greater Greensboro Open
On March 28, 1940 Ben shot a 66 and 67 during the final day to win the Greater Greensboro Open. He earned $1,200.00, at the Sedgefield Country Club and Starmount Forest Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina (two rounds were played during the final day). Hogan set a new tournament record, lowering the mark by one stroke set by Sam Snead on 1938.
