Let's Compare Apples to Apples

"At the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro, a PGA Tour stop since 1938 , perhaps 200 to 300 spectators attend Monday’s pro-am and practice rounds at Forest Oaks Country Club. The sponsors would be overjoyed if the tournament attracted a Saturday or Sunday gallery the size of the one at Pinehurst on Monday."

This excerpt was taken from an article entitled "Practice for Open draws big audience" by Jim Schlosser that appeared on 6-14-05 in the News & Record

It just does not seem fair to compare the two events. One is after all a Major and part of the Grand Slam. It's like comparing the News and Record's circulation of 112,154 with that of the Charlotte Observer's circulation of 282,990. I mean what's the point?
