Greater Greensboro Open Blog Displays its 600th Post of the Year
For the 600th post of the year, the ggoblogger picked this photo of the first female president of the Greensboro Jaycees, Mary Schott Speaker, the second female president of the Greensboro Jaycees (and one of the youngest at 25) Amy Collins Moore and her sidekick back in 1996, Sabrah Hardin, the tournament's first female general chaiman.

Not only was Mary Greensboro's first female Jaycee President, but she was also the first female president of the North Carolina Jaycees. During her tenure with the NC Jaycees, she ousted the "institute system" that dictated how the state was going to vote in national Jaycee elections. With NC Jaycees rejection of the "institute system," our members’ voices were once again heard, and we voted by majority rule.
