Aaron Rai Will Defend Title at the 2025 Wyndham Championship

Defending champion Aaron Rai will play the 2025 Wyndham Championship. The 86th annual Wyndham Championship is set for July 30-Aug. 3, 2025 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Rai captured his first PGA TOUR win at Sedgefield last summer, but with five international victories already to his credit, he was far from a rookie. Rai battled through 72 holes in just three days after the opening round was delayed until Friday due to the remnants of Hurricane Debby. He closed with a bogey-free 64 finishing almost in the dark. Rai became the tournament’s 21st first-time winner, its 21st international winner and its first winner from England. He hasn’t won this season, but several strong finishes include tied for fourth at the Mexico Open at Vidante World. He is currently 54th in FedExCup points and 34th in the Official World Golf Rankings. He will make his fourth Wyndham Championship start.
