Past Champion Lucas Glover to Play 2025 Wyndham Championship

Past champion Lucas Glover will play the 2025 Wyndham Championship. The 86th annual Wyndham Championship is set for July 30-Aug. 3, 2025 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. “We still have a long way to go, but I’m really optimistic about our field this year,” Executive Director Mark Brazil said. "Lucas continues to play at a high level, and it would not surprise me to see him play well at the Wyndham Championship. I’m confident this year’s field could end up being one of our strongest ever.” Glover is currently 30th in the FedExCup point standings and 45th in the Official World Golf Rankings. The Clemson University alumnus hasn’t won yet this season, but he has four top-10 finishes: tied for third at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and THE PLAYERS Championship, tied for eighth at the Valspar Championship and tied for ninth at the Travelers Championship last week. The 2025 tournament will be Glover’s 21st Wyndham Championship start; he won the Wyndham Championship in 2023 and went onto win the first FedExCup Playoff event. Glover received the Order of the Palmetto from South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster last year. South Carolina’s highest civilian honor recognizes a lifetime of extraordinary achievement, service and contributions on a national or statewide scale. A passionate Clemson Tigers fan; he was inducted into the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007 and the South Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in 2024.
