Stadler is one of golf's most popular and entertaining players. He has also been one of its more talented. He has won all over the world. Stadler won his first two PGA Tour wins in 1980 at the Bob Hope Desert Classic and then at the Greater Greensboro Open. Stadler opened with a 75 at the 1982 Masters and ended up the winner after a playoff with Dan Pohl. He would win four tournaments that year including the first of his two World Series of Golf titles. He was the winner of the 1973 U.S. Amateur and a two-time All-American for UCLA.
