The ggoblogger and Kevin von der Lippe have agreed again this year to help Sedgefield celebrate its rich tournament history by using some of the vast GGO archives to decorate for a couple of tournament related events to be held at their clubhouse this year.
While on a recent visit to the "GGO Archives" located at the Greensboro Jaycee office, the two junior history buffs spotted Mark Brazil retuning from what they were sure was some very important meeting in which networking was used.
The ggoblogger, realizing how important the tournament director is, wanted to leave the scene and not waste any of his time. von der Lippe, on the other hand, never missing an opportunity to remind someone about the "good ole days" or just complain about something in general jumped at the chance to get some face time with the TD.
"Hey guys," Mark said as he approached the two fellow Green Coats as they stood in the Jaycee parking lot. Kevin quickly took his place in Mark's bubble and began asking questions faster than humanly possible to answer.
It is important at this part of the tale to understand that the ggoblogger was standing quietly and had at this point only waved hello. Mark looked over and noticed that the blogger was wearing a new pair of tennis shoes and commented that it was about time that "you got rid of that pair of New Balances you've been wearing forever." He then went on to insult the ggoblogger's favorite pair of golf shoes calling them "plastic". I can't believe Mark Brazil clowned me in front of the Jaycee office. And to think I felt bad about all those jokes about his height I'd told in the past.
