Ryan Ballengee Reports Tiger Woods will not play Wyndham

"Early in the week at Firestone, Tiger Woods was seen having lunch with Mark Brazil, tournament director to the Wyndham Championship. The Greensboro event is the final event before the PGA Tour’s FedExCup playoffs begin at The Barclays.

For Tiger Woods, that seemed like a possibility because he entered this week on the outside of the top-125 in the FedExCup points race – the bare minimum Woods would need to achieve to get into The Barclays in three weeks.

Following a final round of even par 70 to close the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, Woods said he would not compete in Greensboro.

“I’m not playing that week, no. Family obligations,” Woods said."
