Greensboro City Council - District 4 Candidate
I am excited to announce my candidacy for City Council - District 4. As the co-owner of Collins & Galyon General Contractors Inc. and a life long resident of Greensboro, I am committed to work to move Greensboro forward through positive leadership, vision and experience.

I feel it is time for Greensboro to turn the corner. If elected, I will champion what is good in our city by supporting and leading efforts that focus on job creation and economic growth, along with continued investment in city services and infrastructure.

I am committed to serve as a positive voice that represents the best interests of District 4, as well as our entire city.

Background Information:

Over the past 30 years, I have been actively involved in various city and community organizations including serving on the Greensboro Zoning Commission (2001-2007) - chair for 2 years; Greensboro Coliseum Commission (1996-2001); and Greensboro Regional Realtors Association- Commercial Division (since 1998) - serving as president in 2005.

Currently, I'm an active member of the Greensboro Sports Council (since 1992); Founders Club of the Wyndham Championship; Market Advisory Board of RBC Bank (since 2006); Appalachian State Alumni Corporate Committee (since 1992); and an Elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Previously, I have served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greensboro; Alex Spears YMCA; United Arts Council of Greensboro; Greensboro Sports Commission; Crescent Rotary; and GreensboroJaycees (serving as tournament chairman of the Greater Greensboro Open in 1992).

I have been married to Cheryl Collins for the past 29 years. We are the proud parents of a 19 year old son, Taylor who graduated from Western Guilford High School in 2010 and attends Wingate University.
