"The chief project in March was the Second Annual Greater Greensboro Open Golf Tournament. This tournament is now history and about $1500.00 was realized and set aside in a trust fund to be used during next year’s tournament. This was one of the outstanding sports events of the South and the Junior Chamber of Commerce secured an abundance of favorable publicity for the city through this project."
