"It would be unfair to overlook, merely because it did not materialize, plans which were made for the Greater Greensboro Open Golf Tournament. Many hours, many telephone calls, many wires, many headaches and many oaths (some blasphemous) were spent. Complications of such a nature developed that it was impossible to conduct this event. At the moment, however, I can tell you that the Greensboro Junior Chamber is high in the respect of the golfers of the PGA."
