"Greensboro, NC -- The future of Greensboro's professional golf tournament has been uncertain.
But on Friday, organizers announced positive changes for the tournament.Tournament director Mark Brazil says they will be part of the Fed-Ex cup series.Their date on the PGA tour from 2007 to 2010 will be the third week of August, right after the PGA championship and right before the final four events of the race.
Chrysler's sponsorship of the tournament is still up in the air at this point.However organizers should know for sure within the next two weeks whether the tournament's traditional sponsor will be on board.But you can still call the event the "CCG," since the working title is the Carolina Classic at Greensboro."
