FM Talk 101.1 WZTK Reports "Possible Changes For Popular Local PGA Tournament"

"Could the future of the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro be in doubt? PGA Tour officials say they plan to restructure the tour schedule because fall events are having trouble competing in the TV ratings against college and pro football.

That means the CCG could be moved back to spring or possibly done away with altogether. Tournament director Mark Brazil doesn't really expect that to happen, though, because Chrysler is the largest sponsor on the tour and the CCG has such a rich tradition in this area.

The Chrysler Classic is locked into its fall time slot through next year."
