Venerable Greensboro Tourney Plans 62nd Outing

"Before becoming co-ed, the Jaycees had a women’s group called the Jaycettes. When that sub-organization was dissolved in 1985, Patty Rumpf became a member of the Greensboro Jaycees when it opened its doors to the distaff set. With a long list of awards to her credit, Patty was named a Greensboro Jaycee Life Member in 1993."

"She has made her way gloriously through the ranks to this big year when she has become the 2000 General Chairman of the GGCC. "It is the opportunity of a lifetime and the perfect culmination of my Jaycee career," Patty says."

"This GGCC is the largest Jaycee project in the world and Patty says, "The sheer size and complexities in coordinating a major sporting event, along with the camaraderie and teamwork amongst the volunteers, are what interested me in the organization." The event has raised millions of dollars for charity and community service projects."
