The ggoblogger was out on course today helping Kevin von der Lippe with his volunteer food chairmanship when they stopped in front of the Sedgefield clubhouse. The two were waiting for lunch to be delivered by Ham's.While sitting in the cart the blogger was approached by a well dress man that had just come from the clubhouse with his family. He introduced himself as Patrick Eakes and he just wanted to say "hello". Patrick and I have become "cyber-friends" over the last couple of years in the Greensboro blog-o-sphere. The ggoblogger has always found Patrick's comments to be insightful and it wasn't until today the I realized that Mr. Eakes is a member of the Sedgefield Country Club Board of Governors. (This explains his insight.)
Well, now it's just going to sound like I'm sucking up, but he was really a nice guy and he has a wonderful family. It's great to get out from behind the keyboard and actually meet some of these people. Thanks, Patrick.
